The Make Tarts & Short-crust Pastries course is an 18-hour practical training program designed for pastry enthusiasts and professionals who wish to learn the art of making perfect tarts and short-crust pastries. From preparing the dough to mastering various fillings, this course will provide you with the skills necessary to bake a variety of classic pastries and tarts, ensuring you can create both sweet and savory versions.

This module is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge in making Tarts and Short-Crust Pastries. It also includes the types and uses of baking tools, equipment and ingredients

After attending the course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify Tarts & Short Crust Pastry Basics
  • Identify Tarts & Short Crust Pastry Mise-en-Place
  • Identify Tarts & Short Crust Pastry Preparation and Baking Process
  • Ensure Quality of Baked Tarts & Short Crust Pastry
  • Adhere to Hygiene & Food Safety Requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • Have at least secondary 2 school education
  • Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employ ability Skills Work force Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPLN Level 4)
