The Make Classic Breads course is an 18-hour hands-on program designed for baking enthusiasts and professionals who want to master the art of baking classic breads. This course will teach you the fundamental techniques behind bread-making, from mise-en-place to preparation, baking, and ensuring the perfect quality of each loaf. With a focus on both theory and practical skills, this course also emphasizes hygiene and safety standards for a professional and safe bakery environment.
This module is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge in preparing basic breads. It also includes the types and uses of baking tools, equipment and ingredients.
After attending the course, learners will be able to:
- Identify Baking Bread Basics
- Identify Bread Mise-en-Place
- Identify Bread Preparation and Baking Process
- Ensure Quality of Baked Bread
- Adhere to Hygiene & Food and Workplace Safety Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Have at least secondary 2 school education
- Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPLN Level 4)
