Food Safety Course Level 1 (AOP)

Course Information

This module is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge in following food & beverage safety and hygiene policies and procedures and be able to apply them at the workplace.

After attending the course, learners will be able to:

  • Practise Good Personal Hygiene
  • Use Safe Ingredients
  • Handle Food Safely
  • Store Food Safely
  • Maintain Cleanliness of Equipment and Premises
  • In order to qualify for the Assessment Only Pathway (AOP) option, the first-timers who have not passed Food Safety Course Level 1 (or former Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Polices and Procedures / Basic Food Hygiene Course) would be required to produce documentation showing that they have some prior training in food safety. Examples of documentation could include certificates, academic transcripts, training materials of food safety or food hygiene courses they have previously attended etc.
