This Vegetation Planting Level 1 course is ideal for frontliners in the landscape and horticulture sector as it equips them with practical skills necessary for executing key planting tasks accurately and safely. From understanding soil preparation to proper plant placement and post-planting care, frontliners gain the competence to maintain plant health and aesthetic appeal in public and private green spaces. This foundational knowledge also helps reduce plant loss due to improper handling or unsuitable environmental conditions.
The Vegetation Planting Level 1 course is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to understand plant parts and functions, identify common plant species and characteristics, plant forms, shapes and growth habits and specalized plants forms and environmental factors.
After attending the course, learners will be able to:
- Correctly identify plants
- Understand plant structure and function
- Recognize plant forms and growth habits
- At least 18 years old;
- At least secondary school education;
- Able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPL Level 3)
